This is my Custom Enclosure built for my 1.2 V. Mertensi. 

It is 8’L, 4’W and 6’H. The water feature is a 300 gallon Laguna tub. 

All Rock work is done with Polygem Zoopoxy over pink insulation boards.

 Hand sculpted and painted by myself. 

The land area to the right actually doubles as the nest box. 

2′ of dirt heated on the right side with a Kane heat mat on a thermostat, this holds a thermogradient of 95°+F against the right hand wall and tapering to the low 80’s throughout.

2 basking sites, one on the left upper basking shelf 140°F, the other on the right side with basking temps of 135°F to 150°F depending on where they bask. 

Over all ambient temperatures range from 82°F thru 95°F cool area.
Water temperature stays at 80°F by way of 800watt titanium fish tank heater.

Water is filtered using 2 Oase Living Waters Biomaster thermo 600’s.

Maintenance is simple, 20% to 50% water changes weekly by way of drain that runs directly to my sump pit.

Filters cleaned monthly, and bottom of pond vacuumed monthly as well with an Oase pondovac3!

Fish kept are 2.1 Fire Mouth Cichlids, 12 Denisoni Barbs, lots of Zebra Danio, 3 Albino Alge Eaters, 6 Upside Down Catfish and a few others.
